Part A: Fill in the Blank
Write the missing word or number on each line.
1. Rewrite with capitals: 'sam is my friend' becomes Sam is my friend
The first word 'Sam' needs a capital because it starts the sentence and is a name.
2. Rewrite with capitals: 'i like cats' becomes I like cats
The word 'I' is always capitalized, and 'I' also starts this sentence.
3. Rewrite with capitals: 'we see jake' becomes We see Jake
'We' begins the sentence so it needs a capital, and 'Jake' is a name which is a proper noun.
4. Rewrite with capitals: 'school starts in june' becomes School starts in June
'School' starts the sentence and 'June' is a month, both must start with capital letters.
