Division Facts 0-10 — Answer Key
Part A: Fill in the Blank
Write the missing word or number on each line.
1. 35 ÷ 5 = 7
To find the missing divisor, ask: what number times 7 makes 35? Since 5 x 7 = 35, the divisor is 5.
2. 48 ÷ 6 = 8
Six equal groups of 8 make 48 (6 x 8 = 48), so 48 shared into 6 groups gives 8 each.
3. A coach has 40 jerseys for 8 teams. Each team gets 5 jerseys.
Sharing 40 jerseys equally among 8 teams means 40 ÷ 8 = 5 jerseys per team, because 8 x 5 = 40.
4. 27 ÷ 3 = 9
To find the missing dividend, multiply the divisor by the quotient: 3 x 9 = 27. That's why 27 ÷ 3 = 9.
5. 60 ÷ 6 = 10
Counting by sixes lands on 60 after 10 jumps (6, 12, 18...60), so 60 ÷ 6 = 10.
6. A box holds 10 donuts. You need 8 boxes for 80 donuts.
Divide the total by the box size: 80 ÷ 10 = 8 boxes. Eight full boxes of 10 donuts give exactly 80.
7. 42 ÷ 7 = 6
You need a divisor that makes 6 when 42 is split. Since 7 x 6 = 42, the missing divisor is 7.
8. If 4 x 7 = 28, then 28 ÷ 7 = 4
Division undoes multiplication. Since 4 x 7 = 28, dividing 28 back by 7 returns the other factor, 4.
9. 36 ÷ 6 = 6
This is a square fact: 6 x 6 = 36, so 36 split into 6 equal groups gives 6 in each group.
Part B: Matching
Match each item on the left to the correct answer on the right.
1. Match each item to its correct answer.
54 ÷ 9
→ 6
9
32 ÷ 8
→ 4
10
50 ÷ 5
→ 10
4
27 ÷ 3
→ 9
6
Correct matches: 54 ÷ 9 → 6; 32 ÷ 8 → 4; 50 ÷ 5 → 10; 27 ÷ 3 → 9.
