Part A: Fill in the Blank
Write the missing word or number on each line.
1. A line plot shows juice per glass in cups: 14→3 Xs, 12→6 Xs, 34→4 Xs, 1→2 Xs. Total juice for the 12-cup glasses: 3 cups.
There are 6 glasses that each hold 12 cup. Multiplying 6 x 12 = 3 cups gives the total juice for just the 12-cup glasses.

There are 4 glasses that each hold 34 cup. Multiplying 4 x 34 = 124 = 3 cups gives the total juice for the 34-cup glasses.
3. Using the juice data, total juice for ALL glasses combined (write as a mixed number): 834 cups.

4. A line plot shows wire lengths in feet: 18→5 Xs, 14→3 Xs, 38→4 Xs, 12→2 Xs. Total length of the 18-foot wires: 58 feet.
There are 5 wires each measuring 18 foot. Multiplying 5 x 18 = 58 foot gives their combined length.
5. Using the wire data, total length of ALL wires combined (write as a mixed number): 378 feet.

7. Using the snowfall data, total snowfall across all 13 days (write as a mixed number): 634 inches.
Multiply each value by its count: (4 x 14) + (5 x 12) + (3 x 34) + (1 x 1) = 1 + 52 + 94 + 1 = 274 = 634 inches total.
8. A line plot shows candle heights in inches: 14→2 Xs, 12→7 Xs, 34→3 Xs, 1→4 Xs. Total height of the candles that are exactly 1 inch: 4 inches.
There are 4 candles that are exactly 1 inch tall. Since each one measures 1 inch, their total height is 4 x 1 = 4 inches.
9. Using the candle data, if 2 more candles of 12 inch are added to the data, the new total height for ALL candles would be 1114 inches.
The original total is (2 x 14) + (7 x 12) + (3 x 34) + (4 x 1) = 12 + 72 + 94 + 4 = 1014 inches. Adding 2 more candles at 12 inch adds 1 inch, making the new total 1114 inches.
