Uppercase Letter Tracing A-Z — Answer Key
Part A: Fill in the Blank
Write the missing word or number on each line.
1. The letter C comes after B.
Going A, B, C in alphabet order, the letter that comes right after B is C.
2. The letter I comes before J.
Working backwards from J, the alphabet shows H, I, J, so the letter just before J is I.
3. Write the letter that comes after L: M
After L in the alphabet comes M, so M is the next letter (K, L, M).
4. The letter H comes between G and I.
Between G and I, only one letter fits, and the alphabet order G, H, I shows that letter is H.
5. The letter P comes after O.
Saying the alphabet in order gives us O, P, so the letter right after O is P.
6. Write the letter that comes before E: D
Counting backward from E in the alphabet, the letter just before E is D (C, D, E).
7. The letter S comes between R and T.
Between R and T, the alphabet order R, S, T tells us the missing letter is S.
8. The letter X comes after W.
After W comes X in the alphabet (V, W, X), so X is the next letter.
9. Write the letter that comes before L: K
Working backwards from L in the alphabet, the letter just before L is K (J, K, L).
Part B: Matching
Match each item on the left to the correct answer on the right.
1. Match each item to its correct answer.
D
→ 4th letter
4th letter
H
→ 8th letter
8th letter
N
→ 14th letter
14th letter
Z
→ 26th letter
26th letter
Counting through the alphabet shows D is the 4th letter, H is the 8th, N is the 14th, and Z is the 26th and last, so each letter matches its place in the alphabet.
