Part A: Fill in the Blank
Write the missing word or number on each line.
1. If you have 6 grapes and eat 1, you have 5 left.
After 6 comes 7 when you count in order: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7.
2. A spider has 8 legs.
A bicycle has 2 wheels. One wheel is in front and one is in back.
3. Count 2 red balls and 1 blue ball. That is 3 balls.
4 flowers plus 1 more flower is 5 flowers. Count on from 4: 5.
4. The number that comes after 9 is 10.
An octopus has 8 arms. Count them: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8.
5. Three birds and 4 fish make 7 animals.
Counting backward from 10: 10, 9, 8, 7. The number after 8 going backward is 7.
