Write the missing word or number on each line.
1. A kitten's fur feels very soft.
Soft means smooth and fluffy, which is how kitten fur feels when we touch it.
2. Tree bark feels rough on my hand.
Rough means uneven and scratchy, which is how tree bark feels under our hands.
3. Glass feels very smooth to touch.
Smooth means flat with no bumps, which is how glass feels to our fingertips.
4. A road can feel bumpy with rocks.
Bumpy means having lots of small bumps that you can feel when touching it.
5. Wet soap feels slippery in my hand.
Slippery means slick and hard to hold because water makes things slide easily.
6. A drum makes a loud sound.
Loud means a strong sound, and drums make lots of sound waves we can hear.
7. A whisper is a quiet sound.
Quiet means a small soft sound, and whispers are made with very little air.

High means a sound up at the top, and small birds make these tweety notes.
9. A big dog barks in a low voice.
Low means a deep sound, and large dogs make these because of bigger throats.
