Division Facts 0-10 — Answer Key
Part A: Fill in the Blank
Write the missing word or number on each line.
1. 18 ÷ 9 = 2
Two nines make 18 (9 + 9 = 18 or 9 x 2 = 18), so 18 ÷ 9 = 2.
2. A gardener plants 30 flowers in 5 equal rows. Each row has 6 flowers.
Share 30 flowers evenly into 5 rows: 30 ÷ 5 = 6 flowers per row, since 5 x 6 = 30.
3. 32 ÷ 4 = 8
To find the missing dividend, multiply the divisor by the quotient: 4 x 8 = 32, so 32 ÷ 4 = 8.
4. 100 ÷ 10 = 10
One hundred is made up of ten tens, so dividing 100 into groups of 10 gives 10 groups.
5. A teacher shares 45 stickers among 5 tables. Each table gets 9 stickers.
Sharing equally means 45 ÷ 5. Since 5 x 9 = 45, each table receives 9 stickers.
6. 16 ÷ 4 = 4
Think: 4 x what = 16? Since 4 x 4 = 16, the missing divisor is 4 — this is a square fact.
7. If 6 x 5 = 30, then 30 ÷ 5 = 6
Division reverses multiplication in a fact family. Starting from 6 x 5 = 30, dividing 30 by 5 gives back the other factor, 6.
8. 81 ÷ 9 = 9
This is the biggest square fact in the 9s table: 9 x 9 = 81, so 81 split into 9 equal groups gives 9 in each.
9. A box has 24 crayons shared equally among 3 kids. Each kid gets 8 crayons.
Share 24 crayons into 3 equal piles: 24 ÷ 3 = 8, because 3 x 8 = 24.
Part B: Matching
Match each item on the left to the correct answer on the right.
1. Match each item to its correct answer.
63 ÷ 7
→ 9
7
20 ÷ 4
→ 5
5
72 ÷ 9
→ 8
8
14 ÷ 2
→ 7
9
Correct matches: 63 ÷ 7 → 9; 20 ÷ 4 → 5; 72 ÷ 9 → 8; 14 ÷ 2 → 7.
